Quick Beauty Tip

For all your beauty advice…

Here’s a quick beauty tip to start your weekend:

If you’ve used all the mousse, root booster, and hair spray that your hair can take and it’s still looking flat, try this tip. Flip your head over and aim the blow dryer at the roots for a few seconds on the high heat setting. The heat will open up the top layer of the hair shaft, also known as the cuticle. Then, with your head still flipped over, change the setting to cool and blast the roots for a few more seconds. The cold air will close the cuticle and keep your roots pumped up, and your hair looking extra full and beautiful!

You’re welcome!

  1. Hey Brooke,

Speaking of hair…I got Sydney one of those new curling irons that are fat at the base and skinny at the end to do those curls the girls have in their hair nowadays.
Except, we have no idea how to get it right. Those guys in the mall did it in 10mins. I got this one at Target for $30 instead of $100. Any tips on working the curl? Just practice maybe? We have two small children in the household we might be able to bribe. HA.

Is the quick tip Friday going to be a new thing? Because, I really like it. 🙂

  2. Ange, I think practice makes perfect on those tools. I don’t own one (yet) but I’ve seen them and I am intrigued. I will check one out and see if there are any secrets I can pass your way. Usually, the trick is all in the wrist. Don’t tug, pull, or clamp down too hard on it. It really can be as easy as they make it look.
As far as Quick Tip Friday…I’m thinking that’s a direction I am going to go. Everyone is so busy, and it only takes a second to read a quick tip.
    Thanks!!
