Products I am Thankful For

For all your beauty advice…

In the spirit of giving thanks, I have been asking all of you to tell me what beauty products you are thankful for. I have been getting some great responses, and it got me thinking about which products I am most thankful for. (Let me just say, before I go on, that I know the true meaning of Thanksgiving is not about products, but I only write about beauty. I have tons of wonderful things in my life to be thankful for, and I am…now, back to those products!) Since I use too many to count, and I love them all, I will single out a few that I have been thankful for lately.

Awapuhi Shampoo by Paul Mitchell. I love this shampoo! It takes me back to my beauty school days. It’s a great every day shampoo, especially if you live in a dry climate. This time of year, my hair gets very dry and lacks moisture, and this shampoo is wonderful! It smells so good, so so so good, and it lathers like crazy. It’s color-safe, so it’s not going to make your hair color fade, it is very nourishing, and it can also be used as a body wash.

RareMinerals Skin Revival Treatment by Bare Escentuals. Most treatments that minimize fine lines, promote speedy cell turnover, keep break outs at bay, and help reduce acne scars, are used during your nightly skin care routine. This product is one you use when you’re completely done doing all that, and you’re ready for bed. It’s a luxury product with amazing results. I am thankful that I was given this product, because at $60, it’s definitely an indulgence. The good news is, Bare Escentuals is making some changes to their skin care line, so this is now available on their site at 30% off. So, get it if you can. I love it! If you’re wondering why a night-time treatment comes in different shades, it’s because some people actually like to use it as their foundation during the day. It gives very light coverage, and makes your skin feel wonderful.

Primed and Poreless by Too Faced. Years ago I decided to stop wearing bronzer and blush since it just soaked into my skin after a few hours…I wish I had known about foundation primer then! This is my favorite primer, and their eyeshadow primer has become my favorite, as well. (although nothing will EVER replace F.Y…eye! by Benefit) This primer goes on so smooth and it helps keep my mineral foundation, bronzer and blush in place all day. Too Faced markets this as a product that can be worn alone because it evens out your skin tone. I haven’t tried it alone, but maybe I will on my next day off. Love it, love it, love it! I am very thankful that I have this primer…I am also very bummed because I am almost out of it.

Those are three products I use daily that I am thankful I have. Maybe there will be a part 2, 3, 4, etc. to this!

Tell me what products you’re thankful for, and you will be entered into November’s contest!
