More Multitasking Products

For all your beauty advice…

Back in February, I wrote about multitasking products. The benefits of them, and some of my favorites. Lately I’ve been coming across some more great ones that I wanted to share with you. The great thing about products that serve more than one function? They save time, because they get more than one step out of the way. They save money, because you are only paying for one product that can do multiple things. And they save space, because two or three products rolled into one only takes up the space of one product. Saving a step in your beauty routine is very important to some people. Me? I don’t mind the extra steps, but I always appreciate a product that covers a few bases.

Cleansing wipes are great for cleansing, toning, and some of them even add some moisture to your skin. I don’t like them for every day use, because I like to use my Clarisonic every day. But these are great for travel, after gym, or freshening up in the middle of the day. Boots No7 Quick Thinking 4-in-1 Wipes are great! They come in the standard plastic pouch that most cleansing wipes come in, but it has a locking top, so there’s no annoying sticker seal (that always loses its “stick”) to deal with.

Body lotion that contains self-tanner in it is great this time of year! Who has time to just lay in the sun and work on your tan? I know people who make time, but if you don’t have the time, then this is something you want to try. Jergens was one of the first to introduce this process. I know there are many more to choose from now, but I like Jergens Natural Glow Daily Moisturizer. It’s pretty inexpensive considering how much most self tanning products can cost. It’s about $7.00, and you can find it almost anywhere. When this first came out, it was sold out all over the place, but it’s easy to find now. You apply it just like normal lotion, but within a week, you will start to see a difference in the color of your skin. It comes in 2 shades: Fair and Medium to Tan.

Hand sanitizing moisturizer. These are great for all the germ-o-phobes out there that think that everything they touch is going to kill them. (It won’t, by the way) Hand sanitizers are all the rage, but constantly applying an alcohol-heavy product leaves your hands dry. This duo will sanitize and moisturize…the best of both worlds! A great one to try is Bath & Body Works Anti-Bacterial Moisturizing Lotion. It will get your hands germ free, but it won’t strip your skin of oils, leaving your hands feeling moisturized. Tons of scents to choose from, too. (Just avoid Moonlit Path…nothing should smell like that…nothing!!)

Body scrub that clear up blemishes. Annoying blemishes on your chest and your back can be treated in one step! Try Neutrogena Body Clear Body Scrub. It takes exfoliating to another level by adding salicylic acid to it to fight existing blemishes and keep new ones from cropping up. Use it a few times a week, more than that may result in extra dry skin. Regular exfoliating will help this problem, but it’s nice to know you can add a step without actually adding a step with this product.

All the products mentioned here are very affordable; great for us beauties on a budget! What are your favorite multitasking products?
